Animatrix
Animatrix, is an interactive computer installation by Akke Wagenaar and Masahiro Miwa. A Bodhisattva's role is to mediate between Samsara (the world of illusion and suffering) and Nirvana (a state of calm, emotionless salvation). Bodhisattva's can have one to eleven heads and two to thousand arms. Animatrix has no heads and seven arms. Animatrix is a computer dancer. As a viewer, you can dance with the Animatrix by playing with a joystick. You can change the music, and 'scratch' the musical pattern by moving a joystick in any direction. You can change the speed of the dance and the music. You can change the dancing movements directly. The longer you keep playing, the more complex the dance and the music become, until the Animatrix makes a special gesture. Concept and graphics programming: Akke Wagenaar.
