Women have always been involved in war. We are the collateral damage of the battlefield, mere accouterments of the war arena.. a prize for the victors.
The pretentious, 'civilized' stance of prevailing governments masks an obdurate devotion to borders and commodities. Blind to the ruins of the landscape and it's people, travelling through all space and time, mother and child, women and girl are raped, mutilated and murdered as a sideshow to the current 'glorious battle.'
This is a mere glance -- one would need a thousand moons....
