In the movie "Marathon Man" (1976) the metaphor of the (historical and personal) memory is the wild race of Dustin Hoffman. The FPS of pictures is not predefined in advance but takes place according to the speed of the internet's connection. The sequence is comprised of 55 pictures; once loaded, the pictures don't have to recalled from the remote server because it is in the cache memory. This memory is on the user's hard drive: technological mode of memory appropriation. Progressively the movie accelerates, since pictures are at home, the marathon man runs more and more quickly until his race becomes regularized.
