Demo simulates the experience of casting a ballot in the 2004 U.S. presidential election. However, no matter what a website visitor marks on the virtual ballot, their vote is counted for George W. Bush. Attempts to correct the ballot are fruitless; the check boxes for other candidates float off the sheet and are no longer clickable options. The work concludes with a list of links with information about Diebold Election Systems, a voting machine company whose chief executive was a top fund-raiser for George W. Bush.
