In late 1990's artist Tauno Kangro proposed a monument in the sea near Tallinn, Estonia, which would depict Kalevipoeg, the protagonist of the Estonian national epic. The proposal caused a fierce debate location, representation, and the occupation of public space by private capital. This work is a counter-proposal for how to positively transform the controversial monument into a ”Monument for the Masses.”
