REYPOLLO V.3 is a digital interactive product. Its four main uses are: promotion, recreation, collaboration and introspective self-exploration.
"Once we decided to add audio and started developing the new action script code it became clear that this version of Reypollo is not only an update of the last version, it is a whole new product. Audio made by Ben Fenton. He works in a variety of mediums, specializing in sonic art. He is a graduate of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston and is currently a student at Tufts University.
"For this project I incorporated a broad range of sounds from various categories of sound art. I used everything from found sound to pure synthesis in creating these sonic landscapes. Reypollo is the product of a web based, transcontinental collaboration between me, in Boston, and Redcaiman in Mexico City. They contacted me via chat room and asked if I would be interested in making soundscapes to go with his animations. We corresponded directly through email but the bulk of the collaboration happened indirectly. I uploaded my pieces to an FTP server; the next day they would download the files and match them with his animations.
I did not make sounds with a particular animation in mind; trusting Redcaiman
